- Making contact with the delta means valuing the generosity of nature and realizing that this unique place in the world can never be invisible to the eyes. To fulfill what has been said, we will leave Buenos Aires towards this natural setting that takes us through the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires to obtain an overview of what life is like on the outskirts, where approximately 35% of the total population of the country lives. Throughout the tour, we will observe the University city and the River Plate stadium in the capital, before entering the Greater Buenos Aires through highways and industrial zones. Once we arrive in Tigre, we’ll drive along the beautiful and quiet Paseo Victorica and make a stop at the gardens of the Tigre Art Museum (M.A.T). Then we will visit the fruit market, an outdoors bazaar where locals buy household items and you can find some authentic souvenirs.
In the Tigre River Station you will board and navigate for an hour along different rivers. Admire panoramic views of the delta as the audio guide tells you about the region and its many features. See the houses, school and church on the riverbank, and discover the unique lifestyle of the islands. You will be able to enjoy one of the favorite places of many Argentine families and observe the lifestyle of the locals who live in the river delta. It is an adventure that offers the perfect balance between nature and history.
At lunch time, you will be taken by boat to an island inside the Delta to have lunch, after which you’ll return to the mainland by boat as well.
